About
Kelly Southee is a Queensland based artist. She was born in New Zealand and moved to Australia in 1981. She has travelled extensively and lived overseas.
Having worked as an interior architect Kelly is fascinated by the way we live within our cities and escape to nature to reset. Her art series' over the years have been based around capturing our built places and the natural landscapes beyond.
As a departure from bigger themes Kelly zooms in on objects and still life scenes to tell stories that link us to memories and to people we hold dear.
Kelly paints in a range of mediums and is available for commission to create house portraits and landscapes for clients.
