ARTIST

About

Kelly is a New Zealand-born, Australia-based artist who paints landscapes and still-life artworks.

She has developed a deep love for both countries and travels regularly to New Zealand to connect with relatives and experience the landscape. This tug-of-war between one place and another has led to a special fascination with our connection to places.

Kelly first trained and worked as an interior architect, designing spaces for clients and gaining a deeper understanding of how environments define our lives.  She turned her creative focus away from design to painting, to highlight unique buildings, street scenes and areas undergoing redevelopment, with old houses often being demolished or taken away.

Occasionally, Kelly zooms in to focus on still-life scenes that tell their own beautiful stories of objects important to their owners.

Kelly paints in various mediums depending on how best to convey the subject matter, including acrylic and oil paint, soft pastel and permanent ink.

She is available for commission to create house portraits and landscapes; and offers her most popular works as high-quality limited edition reproductions.
